Privacy Policy

At idAlerts, protecting your identity and personal information is paramount. Given the nature of our business, and the services we provide to our customers, every precaution has been taken to ensure that confidentiality and privacy of personal information are consistently maintained. This means data file transmissions, and system databases are fully protected and tightly safeguarded using the latest encryption technology and internet security protocols. Your trust that our Identity Theft solutions will truly meet your needs and securityexpectations are imperative, therefore we are providing you the following privacy policy statements; so that you are completely informed of our processes.

Credit Bureau Authentication / Reports / Monitoring Services

Should you subscribe to one of idAlerts Identity Theft Protection Services (TIPS Basic orTIPS Elite), idAlerts will;

a) provide one or both Canadian National Credit Reporting Agencies (Trans Union) with the personal information that has been collected from you for the purpose of authenticating your identity;

b) retrieve your credit bureau profile report from one or both of the aforementionedCanadian National Credit Reporting Agencies and provide you with a copy of same;

c) and we will monitor your credit bureau file with one or both of the aforementioned Canadian National Credit Bureau Reporting Agencies with respect to the following key activities/changes, and provide you with an “alert notification” via your channel of choicefor any and all bureau file activity/changes:

- New Address
- New Employment
- New Inquiry
- New Phone Number
- New Trade Line
- New Legal
- New Registered Item
- New Bankruptcy
- New Collection
- Trade Rating Deteriorating
- Trade Rating Improving
- New Fraud Victim Alert
- New Name

- To process an inquiry with one or both National Credit Reporting Agencies (Trans Union) in order to provide you with an initial Credit Bureau Profile Report, or an initial and ongoing semi-annual Credit Bureau Profile Reports (depending on the product offering subscribed to).

- To authenticate your identity with one or both of the Canadian National Credit Reporting Agencies.

- To monitor daily activity on your credit bureau files with one or both of these credit reporting agencies for the purpose of informing you of potential Identity Theft occurrences.

- To comply with Federal or Provincial legal requirements and/or legislation.

- As otherwise required by law.

Note: In order to protect you and idAlerts, in connection with your registration to becoming a subscriber to any of the idAlerts products or services, we wish to make you aware of our information retention requirements and policies.  With respect to your consent allowing our retrieval of your personal credit information which we require and will seek from you, along with additional personal information which you must provide in order that we may Authenticate your identity, it should be understood that if:

- You register/subscribe to idAlerts via our web site, your identity authentication information (see“ Additional Personal Information” details below) and consent as described above will be stored/retained by idAlerts for possible future reference *.

*Any and all Credit Bureau Profile Reports obtained by idAlerts from either Trans Union in connection with any subscribed to services will be stored by idAlerts for a period of 30 days. This retention is for reference purposes should you have any questions/concerns in connection with your profile report, and as backup should you require it. After said 30 day period, your profile report will be purged from our secure database. All other information will be stored for the entire term of your subscribed to services.

Additional Personal information

Along with your consent for idAlerts to share your personal information and retrieve yourcredit bureau report from one or both of the Canadian National Reporting Agencies, aspreviously described, you will also be required to provide idAlerts with the following information:

- Your full name
- Your date of birth
- Your mother’s maiden name
- Your home and business phone numbers
- Your cell phone number (if applicable)
- Your email address

The above additional information will be requested/required for no purpose other than to:

- process and validate your application for any of our products and services.
- verify your identity and retrieve your credit bureau report details.
- authenticate your identity should you forget your member logon ID and/or password.
- allow us to inform you of specific activity on your credit bureau reports.
- in general, to provide our products / services to you, while protecting the service provider / Client relationship.

Restricted Access / Member Logon Security

When you subscribe to one of idAlerts Identity Theft products or services, you will be sent a fulfillment package. This will include a web site member logon IDand Password. When first logging onto the member web site, you will be prompted to select/enter your own ID and Password which will permit you restricted access to semi-annual consolidated credit bureau reports (where applicable), as well as access to a limited amount of your account information (i.e. history of alert notifications). It will also allow you to update or change your alert notification contact information. You are responsible for ensuring that your personally selected ID and Password are not shared or compromised.  Our member logon procedure will never require you to enter any personal information over an open internet channel. Logon invokes two-factor authentication this dual layered authentication allows us to verify you as a customer, and for you to validate that you are in fact accessing the true dialers web site. Cancellation of Services

Your subscribed to services with idAlerts can be cancelled at any time without fee or penalty. We will ensure that all data associated with the cancelled subscription will be purged from idAlerts’ systems within 48 hours of written or verbal request of cancellation. IdAlerts reserves the right to cancel any subscribed to services by notification via applicable/appropriate channels of communication, with no obligation to provide an explanation as to the reason for termination.
